intro and disclaimers
typology is the classification of people based of psychological traits and social sciences! the types of typology explored in this carrd are the ones that are listed on personality database profiles.please note that these are my own interpretations; they may not be completely accurate. (i am not an expert) and that these are SUMMARIZED NOTES to help others understand the general concept (i found it easier to understand basic definitions and differences before looking into the details). i highly recommend doing your own research (check out the resources i link) because i leave out detail to help simplify the informationi tried to simplify the information even further by highlighting the MAIN main ideas. hopefully that helps if you're not a big fan of readingthis carrd is perpetually a work in progress (i update it as i learn more) and also sorry if you're reading on mobile,, i hope it's not horrible; i made it for pc
tests
obviously im going to state that tests are not completely reliable and should be used as a starting point for self research but . here are my favorite ones to use anyways . also beware answer bias due to warped perception of the self which may lead to inaccuracy <3 the ones in italics are longer (60+ questions)my favs/most recommended will be in bold but i will provide additional relatively reliable tests in case you just. like taking them i guess

cognitive functions: basic theory
MBTI (Myers-Briggs Typing Indicator) is formatted with four letters (XXXX) and is determined by the cognitive functions of feeling (Fe/Fi), thinking (Te/Ti), intuition (Ne/Ni) and sensing (Se/Si) where the first consonant (f,t,n,s) represents the function and the 'e' and 'i' represent the extroversion or introversion of the function respectively (NOT the person's social preference)each mbti type is made up of 4 different "primary" cognitive functions that alternate between extroverted and introverted functions in a dominant, auxiliary, tertiary and inferior order, resulting in IEIE or EIEI introversion/extraversion stacks.* for example, an INTP is Ti (introverted thinking) dominant (dom), has Ne (extroverted intuition) as their auxiliary (aux) function, Si (introverted sensing) as their tertiary (tert) function and Fe (extroverted feeling) as their inferior (inf) function and is an IEIE stack.depending on the strength of a person's use in using each function, the way the functions manifest as thoughts or actions will vary. someone who is ti dominant and someone who is ti tertiary will use ti differently. (read more here under 'primary cognitive functions')a misconception is that the four functions in a mbti label's stack are the only functions a person with that mbti uses, but everyone uses all eight functions; the stack is just the general template to indicate the strongest functions of a person. the other 4 functions are part of the person's "shadow stack"
*however, in Jungian Type Index (JTI), a similar theory to MBTI, stacks do not have to alternate between introversion and extraversion, so IIEE and EEII combinations are also possible as well
cognitive functions: additional notes
it is helpful to note that cognitive functions come in pairs; thinking and feeling functions complement each other, as do intuition and sensing. in MBTI stacks, if one of the pair is introverted, the other is extraverted. if one is dominant, the other is inferior; if one is auxiliary, the other is tertiary, and vice versa.
Ex: In the INTP stack, the thinking function is introverted and dominant, and the feeling function is extraverted and inferior.additionally, the MBTI Code will always include both letters of the person's dominant function.
(INTP -> Ti Dominant)
cognitive functions: loops & grips
people undergoing stress may experience function loops or grips.
loops are when people cycle between their dominant and tertiary function, ignoring their auxilary function. (eg. INTP in a ti-si loop)
grips are when a person's inferior function or a function not in their stack becomes the most dominant, or used very prominently. (eg. INTP in a fe grip)

cognitive introversion vs extraversion chart
cognitive INTROVERSION VS EXTRAVERSION CHARTS
cognitive disposition defines the introversion or extraversion of your dominant function (not related to social scale). for example, an ENTP (NE dominant) is cognitively extraverted (extraverted intuition).
charts are not mine,,, i was sent them by a mutual ,,, still trying to find a source
FE: extroverted feeling
the judging function that relies on the feelings of the external world
the ability to understand others' feelings and prioritize them over one's own feelings.
prioritize how others feel about the situation or decision over their own personal values or feelings. they make decisions based on how it will make others feel over what it will make them feel.
Fe users also have Ti in their stack
Fe Dominant MBTI: ENFJ, ESFJ
Fe Auxilary MBTI: INFJ, ISFJ
fe use applies not only to general decision making, but can also apply to a fe user's self worth or image. they make take criticisms more personally because they care more about how other see them than how they see themselves. fe users may rely on others' opinions to guide their sense of morality, unable to decide what is seen as the right or wrong thing to do on their own.
may be seen as fake, sensitive and reactive to criticisms or standards, or people-pleasing. morals are dependent on external values rather than internal values.fe dom ex: teruhashi (saiki k) -
bases her personality around how others perceive her, has a strong desperation to be socially accepted and acts based on how she thinks she will be loved
Fi: introverted feeling
the judging function that relies on the feelings of the internal world
the ability to understand one's own feelings and prioritize them over others' feelings.
prioritizes their own feelings or opinions about the situation or decision instead of others'. makes decisions based on their own values or feelings instead of how it will make others feel/how others see it.
Fi users also have Te in their stack
Fi Dominant MBTI: INFP, ISFP
Fi Auxilary MBTI: ENFP, ESFP
fi use applie/s not only to general decision making, but can also apply to a fi user's self worth or image. they make dismiss criticisms or compliments because they care more they feel themselves than how others think it is. ==fi users typically have a strong moral code ==and are naturally in touch with how they truly feel about a situation
may be seen as selfish, insensitive, or self centered. morals are based on internal values. may ignore others' feelings in their personal situations and take charge for them if seen fitfi dom ex: noe (vanitias no carte) - very strong internal moral compass, refuses to take action in something he does not believe in, wishes to understand others in order to judge or resolve accordingly by his own values, always does what he believes is right.
notes: a fe user may be polite because they are worried about what others would think about them if they weren't, or they are worried about how others are feeling, and want to be polite as to put the other's at ease or in a good mood.; a fi user may be polite because they personally believe it is always best to be polite, or they may think that it is the morally right thing to do in the situation.
